Cookie came into this world on November 30, 2021, and brought a kind of love that words can never fully hold.
Though we had to say goodbye on May 22, 2026, every moment shared with him remains part of our family. His memory lives on in the places he knew, the people who loved him, and the happiness he gave us.
Cookie’s Personality, Favorite Things, and Special Memories
Cookie was playful, friendly, loving, and full of personality. At home or inside the car, he sometimes became protective or grumpy whenever he saw unfamiliar people. But once he was outside, he would quickly calm down and behave. Whenever he saw another dog, he became excited and wanted to play, perhaps because he was the only dog in our family and always wished for a playmate.
Cookie was also a hardworking office companion. Since Mamang was busy with school, Cookie spent most of his days at Papang's workplace. Papang brought him to work almost every day, and the office eventually became Cookie's second home. Whether he was peacefully sleeping, following Papang around, or simply keeping him company, he was happiest just being by Papang's side.
At night, Cookie's favorite place was always beside Mamang and Papang—or beside any family member who would let him stay close. He did not like sleeping alone and would cry whenever he had to sleep away from the people he loved. For Cookie, the floor was never good enough. He always wanted to sleep comfortably on the bed, curled up beside his family.
One of the things that made Cookie so special was how much he wanted to be with us. Whenever we were getting ready to go somewhere, he would always hope he was coming too. If we left without him, he would become gloomy and seemed to miss us the entire time we were away. It was as if he couldn't understand why he wasn't coming along. Cookie simply wanted to be wherever his family was. Whether it was a short drive, a trip to work, or just running errands, being with us made him happiest. His greatest joy wasn't a place—it was simply being with the people he loved.
Cookie loved food and always looked forward to his favorite treats. He especially enjoyed jelly rolls, ice cream, isaw, barbecue, chicken, and chicken liver (atay sa manok). Seeing his excitement whenever food was around was one of the many little things that made us smile.
What made Cookie truly one of a kind was his gentle and comforting presence. He was never a noisy dog who barked all the time. Instead, he quietly filled our lives with love, comfort, and happiness. He became our stress reliever, our constant companion, and the reason for countless smiles.
Cookie was more than a pet—he was family. We became deeply attached to him because of the unconditional love, loyalty, and joy he gave us every single day. Our home, Papang's workplace, the car, and even our bed will always hold memories of him.
His playful personality, funny habits, love for food, excitement whenever he got to come with us, and his constant desire to stay close to the people he loved made him truly unforgettable. Cookie may no longer be physically beside us, but the happiness, comfort, and unconditional love he gave us will forever remain in our hearts.
